Yewande Omotoso’s debut novel Bomboy was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Fict on Prize, MNet Film Award and Et salat Prize for Literature. It won the South African Literary Award First Time Author Prize. She has published many short stories in various reviews and anthologies. Omotoso was a 2013 Norman Mailer Fellow and a 2014 Et salat Fellow. In 2015 she was a Miles Morland Scholar. Her second novel ‘The Woman Next Door’ was published in May 2016. It was longlisted for the Bailey’s Women’s Fict on Prize and the International Dublin Literary Award. Born in Barbados, Omotoso grew up in Nigeria and currently lives in South Africa.
